Οn April 16, 2019, the students of the CE2 and CM1 classes visited the travel campaign « European Union Saves Lives»at the « Ηοuse of Europe ». Through various activities (video, virtual reality, quizzes, simulation), the campaign enabled the students to discover different European Union actions.
The children were able to:
- virtually «step inside» refugee camps (school, life) in Bangladesh and in Kenya
- face a massive forest fire next to the pilots during firefighting (Spain)
- enter the cockpit of a water bomber, among other activities
The purpose of this campaign is to raise awareness of the needs of people displaced by natural or man-made disasters. A beautiful experience, based on the principle of solidarity!
