The French-Cypriot school of Limassol was inaugurated by the Education Minister Prodromos Prodromou and the Ambassador of France Salina Grenet-Catalano on Tuesaday 6th December 2022.
The establishment of a Limassol branch French Cypriot school is another expression of the ‘long-standing excellent relations’ between Cyprus and France, Education Minister Prodromos Prodromou said at the inauguration on Tuesday.
The creation of the French Cypriot school implements the decision of President Nicos Anastasiades and French president Emmanuel Macron. In a recent meeting, the two leaders, summarised the progress in recent years, namely the extension of the teaching of French in secondary education and support and expansion of the French Cypriot school and the creation of its branch in Limassol.
Mrs. Salina Grenet-Catalano explained that enrolling a student at the French-Cypriot school means being part of a unique network, the AEFE network, which includes 566 schools in 138 countries. This allows to the students to continue their education in France or in the schools of the AEFE network.
